Carnival’s youth experience provides activities and entertainment for all children ages 17 and younger. Parents can enjoy time on the ship knowing their kids are safe, entertained, and paired with kids in similar age groups. At Camp Ocean kids will have a blast in supervised, age-based groups and give each a cool marine-life label: Penguins (2 to 5 years), Stingrays (6 to 8 years), and Sharks (9 to 11 years). Together with their group, they’ll enjoy tons of fun-filled, age-appropriate activities like arts and crafts, songs, games, toys, dancing, movies, and video games. When it’s mealtime, kids eat together and get their own menus with back-on-land faves like mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, and more. The whole time, our experienced counselors will be there to make sure everyone in these small groups has an amazing time. Plus, when the sun goes down it's Night Owls time — fees apply, but kids get to stay up late having fun while their parents also enjoy themselves well into the night.

Sign In/Out Policy

All children must be registered by a parent/guardian prior to participating in any Youth Programs.
Carnival’s policy is to group children together according to their age. The age is determined according to the child’s birth date.
Parent/guardian can authorize other guests (over the age of 18) during online registration or once on board in order to sign in/out their children from activities.

Potty-Trained

Children do not have to be potty-trained in order to take part in Camp Ocean or take part of the Night Owls services. Parents must provide the Youth Staff with diapers and toiletries to be used for their child. However, children over the age of 5 or over 50 pounds will not be changed by the Youth Staff. Parent/guardian will be provided with a phone and must sign the child out of activities and change them. The child may then return to activities.

Safety Information

The Youth Staff will distribute wristbands to all children 12 years of age and younger. These wristbands will indicate your muster station in bold letters and must be worn at all times. As parents/guardians, it is your responsibility to ensure that your child wears the wristband throughout the duration of the cruise.
If at any time during the voyage, a child loses or breaks his/her wristband, replacement bands are available at Youth Facilities or Guest Services.
If your child is participating in a supervised “sign-in” youth activity, in the unlikely event of an emergency, you will be reunited with your child at your assigned muster station. Upon hearing a “Crew Alert” announcement, all activities will stop and children will be gathered and guided to their assigned muster station. At that time, parents/guardians must proceed to their staterooms (if safe to do so) to collect their life jackets, and that of their child’s, before proceeding to their assigned muster station.

Hours (time/activity may vary based on cruise itinerary)

Sea Days: Scheduled complimentary programming activities run from 10:00am-5:00pm and 7:00pm-10:00pm, followed by Night Owls.
Port Days: Supervised complimentary programming Kids' Choice begins from port arrival until 12:00 pm; at 12:00 pm, Kids' Only Lunch is offered. Scheduled activities resume from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm, followed by Night Owls. There may be family programming offered between 4:00 pm-6:00 pm (time/activity may vary).
Evenings/Nights: Night Owls is offered each evening from 10:00 pm-1:00 am in Camp Ocean for a fee ($6.75 USD per hour plus an 18% gratuity, per child)
Offerings include: movies, games, toys, and snacks
Owls Jams - on select evenings of the cruise, we have additional parties ($15.00 USD per party plus an 18% gratuity, per child)

Meals

Parents are encouraged to pick up kids for mealtimes, however, lunch and dinner will be provided to your child if you cannot. Time/menus are advertised in the Youth Activities schedules.
