I recently sailed on a 3-Night Bahamas cruise (from Miami) to Nassau and booked through iCruiseApp.com—and honestly, the deal alone made this trip worth it. The package included specialty dining, Wi-Fi, unlimited open bar, excursion credits, and prepaid service charges for The Haven, which added a ton of value right from the start.

I stayed in a Haven Forward Penthouse (Suite 9706), and the layout was thoughtfully designed. The entry opens into a comfortable living space with a small dining table, bar area with an espresso machine, and a couch that converts into a bed. The balcony is accessible from this main area, though it was smaller than expected for a suite of this level—something to consider if you plan to spend a lot of time outside (or are bringing kids).

The bedroom and bathroom were standout features. The king bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve experienced across multiple cruise lines, and storage space was more than sufficient. One thing to note—the bedroom does not have direct balcony access, only a porthole-style window. The bathroom felt spa-like, with a soaking tub, a large multi-jet shower with seating, double sinks, and a separate toilet area.

The Haven experience overall was elevated, especially with the private butler service. Ravi, our butler, was friendly and attentive, though I do wish there had been a better introduction on how to fully utilize the service. The Haven Lounge itself was a great escape, offering a concierge desk, bar, dining area, and pool. Breakfast on embarkation and the final day was excellent both in quality and service.

That said, there were a few downsides. The suite’s forward location meant noticeable noise from crew activity—especially late at night—which was frustrating given the price point. Electrical outlets were also limited and not always conveniently placed.

As for the ship, it felt modern and well-maintained, with a variety of typical cruise offerings like shows, dining, and entertainment. The steakhouse was a highlight—the Australian lamb chops were perfectly cooked and generous in portion. Even when we had to cut dinner short due to seasickness, the staff went above and beyond by delivering the meal to our room.

Entertainment was a mixed bag. The “Bring Back the 90’s” show was fantastic—high energy, talented performers, and well-produced. The Haven’s reserved seating made it even better. However, the comedy show on the final night fell flat and wasn’t very entertaining.

Other areas like the casino and shopping were underwhelming. The casino is on the smaller side, and drink service while playing was inconsistent. Shopping options were limited, with a heavy focus on jewelry rather than variety.

Overall, this was a great short getaway made even better by booking through iCruiseApp. The value, perks, and Haven experience made it memorable—but a few trade-offs are worth noting depending on what you’re looking for in a suite and onboard experience.
